Did you know that I was pregnant this whole last nine months?! Ha, just kidding but our new family member sure seems to fit in that well! I would like you all to meet Toby! Although Kayden calls him Homie and corrects me when I call him Toby!
Isn't he darling! You might recognize him! He is famous from the Disney show "The Great Mouse Detective." He will be doing autographs at a later date.
Toby is a pure breed Basset Hound. Everyone's first comment to us is how beautiful he is. He is so mellow and such a nice dog and already house trained (YEAH)! He loves kids and other dogs and lives to be obedient and please us! We couldn't have asked for a better dog!
The boys love him too! Kayden wanted to put him in our car as soon as we saw him. Ryan has taken a little while to get used too him. Lets just say the car ride home was Ryan looking around and then catching Toby looking at him and then proceeding to cry for five minutes straight, but he loves him now.
Ryan had fun playing ball with him this morning.
Aunt Kelli helped mom give him a bath and then taught Kayden how to brush him! Toby didn't like the bath but he loved the brushing! Thanks Aunt Kelli for helping! Then of course getting a new dog means Kelli and mom get to go SHOPPING!!!! We found a darling collar, dish, dog pillow, football toy, and of course Halloween outfit! Kelli and I had fun! But I must say in Richard's defence that he was against this from the beginning and still very hesitant when we went to get him but out of everyone in our family who loves Toby so very much, Toby chooses Richard for his best friend! He even stayed up late to watch sports with him!
