Birthday Boys!

Here are the birthday boys sporting their bob the builder outfit, tool belt and all, and cowboy out fit with gun holster handguns and everything! They each picked their own cake as well, Ryan a dump truck with dirt cake, and Kayden a horse cake!
The buckaroos ate some grub and then had their cake out of builder buckets and were even able to eat with shovels! This made all the little bob the builders happy!
Here is one big yawn from a tired party boy!

Poor Ryan could not see that his candles were lit so he was not happy at the time of the song. Poor Ryan! After singing he had a nap and was his happy bob the builder self again!

Learning...Tons of Fun!

Kayden has had a strong interest in sword fighting and Ryan has always loved anything that has to do with horses so we have been learning all we can about Knights, castles, medieval times, swords, etc. We had our very own medieval feast to welcome sir knight Kayden and Jack Ryan (Jack from the Magic Tree House books). We made our own flat bread plates to eat off of and had a blast!

We learned about castle defense systems and how a castle in France was built around quick sand...So we made quick sand and talked about colloids! The boys had so much fun playing in it and sinking their toys in it!

We have two new additions to our family. This is Samson and Jack! Two tadpoles that will aid us in learning how frogs grow! Over the next 12 weeks we will be eagerly observing their development and will keep you all updated!

This is KC who was trying to sword fight with Kayden. He kept putting one hand on top of the other like he was trying to climb the stick until he tipped himself over! It was pretty funny!

Three peas in a pod...

Can you tell we LOVE to have our daily adventures in cowboy boots!
Fun in Ryan's TP!
Ryan now enjoys driving the four wheeler! It has been cute to watch him have so much fun on something he was scared to try!

Our Fun Week!

We went for a LONG walk at the Buffalo Park and Ryan loves to throw rocks in the river! Here he is with a BIG rock he found, cool dude!
Clifford came to our library and the boys had fun seeing him!

We took a trip to Salt Lake to decorate Dad's new office for him and while we were there we took a tour of the Conference Center which was really fun! When we were getting in our car, which was parked behind the conference center, to leave we saw Dallin H. Oaks walk across the street!
KC working hard. Here is the boys sleeping and don't they just look like twins! What cuties!

Birthday Boy The BIG #5!!!!

This is the boys dancing to nana's present. It plays music to the beat of them dancing!

Kayden's birthday cake we saved for his birthday party this weekend but he wanted a sweet dream pie from Audrey Wood's book Sweet Dream Pie, and let me tell you that was fun to make!

Ryan's reflection in the mirror watching national geographic on the computer with the family!

KC reading the morning paper.
Here are some hieroglyphics that Kayden and Ryan drew when we were reading about Egypt. We even burned the edges to make them look old. The boys thought that was pretty cool!

Our Easter!

Our colored Easter eggs!
Kayden at the Smith's Easter egg hunt starting line and with all his candy!
Muddy Buddies for Conference snack!

Green Eggs and Ham!
KC could have no green eggs and ham but he had fun playing in his oatmeal!

We made resurrection rolls to eat Easter morning to help us remember the true meaning of Easter! It was so cute because the boys were so shocked at where Christ's body had gone but then they remembered that he had risen! Then smart kayden was like what really happened was the marshmallow melted so we also learned about symbolism.
